Boat Information

Design

The Viking Wye Class is a 68ft long, 8 berth cruiser stern narrowboat. It has a quiet water-cooled diesel engine with simple to use controls.

Features

There is full radiator central heating on the boat. A 150 gallon water tank supplies the hot and cold running water. There is a double-filtered drinking water system. The flooring is easy clean vinyl.

Saloon

Radio/CD player, colour TV/DVD player.

Kitchen

The galley is fully equipped and has a 4 burner gas cooker with grill and oven; refrigerator; sink and drainer; saucepans; cooking utensils; crockery and cutlery appropriate for the number of berths. There is plenty of storage space and work surfaces.

Bathroom

The bathroom comes complete with a shower, wash hand basin and flush toilet. There is also a separate compartment with another flush toilet and hand basin. A 240v shaver socket is also available.240v shaver socket.

Berth

As this is an 8 berth boat, there is a choice of a double berth or two singles in any of the three cabins. An optional dinette/double or two single berths is available in the saloon. Almost any combination from three doubles and one dinette/double berth, to eight singles.

Bedding

Freshly laundered bedding is supplied for each crew member, as per your requirements. Additional bedding is available upon request. Towels are also supplied - one medium sized towel per crew member, and one hand towel per bathroom.

Electric

The 1.6kw inverter supplies 240v electricity to certain appliances and to a socket on the boat. (Please note: if you decide to use any of your own electrical appliances, you do so at your own risk). 12v mobile phone charging point (please remember to bring your own car charging lead).

Welcome Pack

A welcome pack is provided, consisting of washing-up liquid (x1); dishcloth (x1); tea towel (x1); floor cloth (x1); toilet roll and bin liner.

Additional Information

Tuition, and buoyancy aids, are supplied free of charge. A safe is supplied on the boat (except on boats based at Gailey), as are helmsman's waterproofs and an umbrella.
